I liked using smart text to write my own personal things that the whole clinic does not need because they are specific to me. For example, certain goals that I use frequently with patients, I like to be able to add, but they are never body part specific, they are patient specific. So I cannot add them to a profile because every back patient does not have the same goals, but I do use alot of the same goals frequently.

I agree - we are a speech clinic, and many of the premade shortcuts provided by WebPT are not applicable. I would much rather customize our smart text to include frequently used information specific to our profession and population (pediatric speech).
We heard your concerns and will be announcing Smart Charting in a few weeks. This is superior to Smart Text in that it is available for ANY field in SOAP 2.0, and you can add snippets/shortcuts on the fly as you chart. You can also label the variables (like referring physician) and the therapist can fill it in when they get the popup. Even better, if that information is already known within WebPT (or any other browser app that is open and "mapped"), that variable can prefill for the therapist for even faster and more accurate charting. We also provide a Starter Kit with 400 abbreviations and another 100 shortcuts to help you get a fast start!
I spent 2 days putting in smart text when we started webpt friday and i go to do the first initial evaluation and it is in SOAP 2.0 and not even merging my smart text. Why would you let me input hours of work and not let it merge????? I will be finding a new EMR
i agree to add smart text. Soap 2 plz
I agree. Please add smart text to 2.0
I agree with this. This has been a big point of contention for many therapists I work with when switching to SOAP 2 from SOAP 1. The Smart text really cuts down on the documentation time.
