Mass Text Reminders

Presently there is no option to mass message patient's if there's a change in schedule or such. It would be beneficial if there's an option to send a personalized message that you can send to all patients who are on the scheudle or you select. For example, if you have to close the clinic you can send a text to everyone on the schedule that the office is closed instead of having to find alternate means to contact them.

    Hello, and thanks for your Idea portal submission! Sending mass text reminders from the EMR is a feature that we don’t currently have planned, but may consider in the future. We’ll make sure to let you know if this feature is delivered.

    In the meantime, the Reach patient relationship management system allows mass campaigns to be sent on short notice for this type of situation.

    This would have been very beneficial during the 2024 hurricanes. We would have been able to contact all our patients. We would be able to inform them if we are closed or open for business before and after the hurricane. Or give them a contact number other than the clinic for when the power and internet goes out. We could've concentrated on other things like securing our clinic and homes but we were calling and texting our patients during that crucial time of evacuation.

    This was offered with a previous vendor we used. We were able to send out "Broadcast" messages to patients who were scheduled for a certain day or in a certain span of time. We used it sparingly but it was very helpful.

    I think this would be a great idea. Very rarely, our clinic has to close but it is a massive burden on the office manager to get in contact with every single patient before their appointments. An automation feature (call, text and email) informing them of the cancellation would be super helpful!
