Goals in templates

It would be great if goals were automatically generated and editable. In the objective section, if you chose to measure shoulder ROM, it would be helpful if there were a clickable button that would add shoulder ROM to the goal section in the assessment. Another way to have this option could be that in saving a template, it would also let you save goals. So in a "Lumbar Evaluation" template, it could already have goals for improving pain, improving lumbar flexion, lumbar extension, tolerance to sitting ect., and be editable to tailor it to the specific impairments of the patient. The smart text is not really helpful in this area because you still have to individually create the goals. This would cut down considerably on creating an eval.

Automatically identifying Problems & Goals based on observations in the Objective is something we are working on. We are also looking at ways to highlight this information for the Assessment. It can be more complicated than it sounds, and we don't want to be too heavy-handed with it. More to come...

Although this is a great idea, I wonder if it would be problematic since I do not always want to write goals for every impairment found.

I agree that it would be nice to click in objective and it would immediately populate in the goal section. This would save time for many reasons.

Hello! Our Advanced Profiles allow you to save goals so you can easily populate problems and goals (and any other text field!) in your note. You can learn more about these here. Hope this helps!
