Allow to be able to search by DOB vs or in addition to the patient name while scheduling

It is a lot more efficient if you are working with a large volume of patients to be able to pull the patient up by their DOB instead of just a name and then having to do a drop down to select the correct patient. By searching by name only, it is very easy to pull up the incorrect patient. If you are scheduling a patient for 12 appointments, the way it is set up it takes about 24 more clicks to be sure you have the correct patient if they have a common name such as "Smith". This is also the way most healthcare systems are set up is to search by DOB.
