Nickname and preferred pronouns in patient header

This information is imperative, as we treat a high population of non-binary and transgender clients. Now that Web2.0 opens with any clickthrough to the patient's chart, this information can be easily missed. Thank you! Attached an example, see image.

It is also important for this to be an optional field as we do not want to force someone to disclose their pronouns

Thanks so much for the feedback! We will be releasing a feature as soon as possible to remove the nickname field from the patient note, so that could be an option in the near future. We will also discuss improving that workflow by adding a separate field for the preferred pronouns as well. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

The nickname is the place for that, but I do not feel it belongs on the documents. I have lodged several complaints. Putting "They/Them" in the nickname field would then send the notes to the Docter as Mickey "They/Them" Mouse. That is not appropriate. The nickname field should be for internal use only.

Love this idea! I have so many clients who identify as non binary and use they/them pronouns and a name different than their legal name to go by. This would be so helpful.
