We have been noticing more and more denials lately because diagnosis codes combinations are excluded or not compliant to be reported together. The AAPC has a software that checks for ICD-10 code compliance to double check that your diagnosis codes can be reported together. It would be a great benefit if something similar could be built in to WebPT EMR or Therabill that would essentially verify the codes a therapist selects and want to report together are in fact complaint and allowed per the ICD-10 guidelines. This will make the biller / coder and billing managers life much easier to know they can bill services correctly the first time and reduce the amount of denials and corrected claim submissions for diagnosis errors.
