Ease of creating Profiles.

Setting up profiles should be as simple as possible. Having to reselect the same basic items over and over again will be too time consuming. Once you create a template, lets say, for an initial eval, all the info from that template should already be selected and the other info that was not selected should be omitted. That way, you only have to deselect the items that are not pertinent to that specific profile.

Yes -- profiles are additive only, so they layer on top of your template. Anything you add to your template will automatically be on your note, so you would want to configure the template to include items you most typically document, and the profiles are intended to add more specific content for a given course of care. Profiles can also be added to any note type. For a faster response, a WebPT support rep can be reached via online chat or at (866) 221-1870. Thanks again for your feedback, and we will work to make this workflow more intuitive.

So let me get this straight. Even though the items that I selected to be included for the Eval template are not preselected when I start to create the proflie, they actually are?

Hi! Thanks for the additional information, I understand now. As some background, the reason the profile configuration page does not show what is selected on the template is because profiles can be applied to any note type. You might have a different template for your Initial Eval vs. your Daily Note, so the pre-selected content isn't displayed. When creating a profile, you are adding content to the template of the note. The benefit of this is that you only have to create 1 profile to be applied to all your note types. You do not need to re-select content on the profile if it's already included in the note template. After you configure your profile, you can preview what that profile looks like layered on top of other note templates.
Your feedback definitely makes sense, and I understand your pain point of not always knowing what's already in the note template. Thank you for the information so that we can make this workflow more intuitive.

Becca, It may be WebPT's intent to have the info from the template show up automatically when creating a template but the fact is that none of it is there and I have to start from scratch on each one. See attachment. As you can see nothing is pre selected. The second attachment shows the items that I selected and added to the Custom eval template.

Hello! Thanks so much for your feedback. In regards to the initial comment, what you select on the template will automatically be part of the profile. It helps to think of the template as the "base" of the note, and the profiles can be added to make the note more specific for your different patients. You can also copy profiles you've already created to help minimize how often you have to re-select the same things.
    This article might help.

We definitely hear your concerns and have prioritized to improve this workflow as soon as possible. We understand there is a lot of content to sort through, so we want to make it easier by implementing filters and ways to search to find exactly what you need.

Thank you again for your honest feedback and we are looking forward to improving this experience!

Completely agree. I spent 3 HOURS on this yesterday. Ridiculous.

I agree! Sorting through the mountain of selection is frustrating and time consuming. The original templates from 1.0 worked well in the orthopedic arena without excess info to shed.
