Is WebPT/WebPT Billing preparing for the need to provide a Good Faith Estimate prior to treatment for patients as of Jan 1 under the federal No Surprises Act? I’m hoping there will be a tool we can utilize within WebPT that will assist us to create a GFE rather than having to do separate data entry.
It would be ideal if it were in WebPT as many of our front office users don’t utilize WebPT Billing on a regular basis. Also, some of the WebPT fields don’t pull forward to WebPT Billing for the insurance verification that is printable there. We would also need to be able to enter in our planned CPT codes & units and have it pull the patients co-insurance, deductible, and copay to create an accurate GFE.
WebPT is doing further research on this to understand if Rehab Therapy is included in this expectation. If you have any additional details you would like to share please feel free to include additional comments and resources.

Hello,
I am participating in a workgroup in Washington state with local and national payers as well as OneHealthPort. Rehab therapy is absolutely included in this expectation. I can provide more details if you wish. I can also ask for a member of WebPT to participate in the workgroup.
Rehab therapy IS included in this new federal law. I am participating in a work group with all of the major insurance carriers in our area as well as other medical providers in our state to determine the legal requirements and workflow. I would be happy to share what I am learning.
