When using the "Outbound Fax Log" from the patient chart, it can be somewhat tedious/time-consuming when you have to resend a failed fax. Instead of resending the failed fax from the log, you must go to the patient chart and select the note/document to be re-faxed. Furthermore, if a PT faxed a document with a custom message, our admin staff that watches for these failed faxes have no record of their custom message and sometimes it can be difficult to talk with PT's and find a time to repeat their message.
It would be easier to simply have the option to resend the exact same fax with the same custom message/specific contact info if necessary. From SOAP 1.0 or the WebPT home page, you could resend a fax this way. It would be great to have the same capabilities in SOAP 2.0.
