Adding Student Assistant licenses in WebPT

When setting up new student PTA or OTA as Users in WebPT, we do not have an option for setting them up as students. We can only use Student PT or OT.

However, assistants need to document their treatment minutes under a different billing qualifier for Medicare and Medicaid insurances as they are billed out at a reduced rate vs PT/OT's. They have to use the CQ modifier for documentation of minutes.

When training student assistants added to user manager as Student PT/OT, these are not an option and they are not able to learn to bill correctly and document appropriately the minutes provided by an assistant in accordance to Medicare new guidelines.

If you could create the option for SPTA and SOTA in WebPT license options that would be more ethically appropriate for teaching students documentation and billing.

Hello, and thanks for your feedback! While this is a feature that we don’t currently have planned, we are considering an adjustment to how we manage licenses within WebPT. We will include this idea with our discovery of the project. We’ll make sure to let you know if this feature is delivered.

In the meantime if you have any further questions feel free to leave a comment or contact WebPT Support using support@webpt.com.
