Giving new and existing patients the option to schedule/re-schedule appointments online would be a modern and effective solution to streamline the scheduling process. Simultaneously, this would reduce hold times at the front desk phone, and patients would be able to enter patient information at their own pace. I would still personally prefer to speak with the patient regarding any appointment cancellations, however.
